To become a practicing doctor in India you have to appear for Medical entrance Examinations like National Eligibility cum Entrance Examination (NEET) or for All India Institutes of Medical sciences Examinations.

It is necessary for you to qualify for NEET Examination if you want to pursue either a course in MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery) or BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery).   1. NTA will set up 3,000 practice centres for NEET Exam from August 2018 & candidates will get around an hour to practice. It will function on Saturdays and Sundays.
  2. From next year, NTA will start their teaching centres for NEET candidates. It will start functioning from May 2019. They will not charge any fee for this.
  3. Till last year, aspirants had a total of 3 attempts to appear for the exam. However, as per the latest updates, there is no cap on the number of attempts for NEET.
